Miquel Wert

Miquel Wert attended the School of Fine Arts in Barcelona. Principally working with charcoal, acrylic and oil, he finds his inspiration in old family pictures from which he derives happy, sometimes troubling family gatherings. A precise drawing, mastered to perfection on which he plays with tonalities of grays, blacks and whites.

The spectator recognizes him/herself in blurred visages, simple and peaceful memories, as if going through a family album. By evoking the past, Wert expresses the vital force of images.
