Hélène Daumain

Hélène Daumain was born in Lyon in 1962. She studied at the Ecole d’Arts Appliqués de la Ville de Lyon from 1979 to 1982 and attends the Ecole Emile Cohl from 1996-2000.

Through an exceptional sense of light, she sketches characters that no others would look at…, with realism and remarkable accuracy.

Her palette is sober, her grays contrast with the emotions provoked by the touching expression of her models. Hélène Daumain is a moving portraitist!
