Annick Kress
Annick Kress studies at the American Center and at the Ateliers of the Fine Arts Academy in Paris. She is a well-noticed representative of the “Art Brut” (“Raw” Art) movement. Raw but charming: her compositions may seem child-like through their lack of perspective, but Kress harmoniously composes her work on canvas through the usage of daring reds, blues and yellows.
Kress uses all techniques at her disposal: pigments, collage, pastels, and inks. Her work is a combination of various forms intertwining with animal and human appearances. Her paintings are colorful and poetic.
